what do parents think?

This is our first experience with you doing summer camp and we think you are 100% great!! My son was lucky to go to La Granja with his school twice before. He had a very good experience. And now he has enjoyed it during the summer as a teenager. You have given him very good advice, I loved reading your stories and the daily reports that you send, full of positive support and food for thought. THANK YOU. My son does not communicate much, but reading your comments I get a good idea of how well you connect with the kids. THANK YOU again for your dedication and investment in the future of all these children. I hope you have a very good vacation.

THis is the first year that Laia and Jana have attended La Granja. I had already heard great things, but once you are inside, it is even better than expected!!! They made me feel as if I was also inside, as part of La Granja, although I wasn’t. The daily reports sent by Cristina, the messages from the monitors, the photos, videos and happy faces of my daughters when they tell me about everything that happens there made me feel a part of it all. This year the girls needed it more than ever and, frankly, so did we. From the bottom of our heart (as you have done day after day)… THANK YOU!!!

After 18 days at home Nuria has finally returned to La Granja and the truth is that her joy has made us forget the unpleasantness of the past few days. We greatly appreciate your follow-up and especially from her monitor Patri for all her calls to speak with her during these days. We have been coming here for the past 10 years, first with Aina and now with Nuria, and we have always been very happy. But the present circumstances give an added value to the treatment received. Please give our gratitude to Cristina, Oriol and the rest of the team. And to Patri of course.

I am the mother of Aleix and Jana. Today is the last day of camp for my children. I wish to thank you for your work, my children have enjoyed it tremendously. So much so that they have cried a great deal… In fact, for the past week they have been happy and sad at the same time knowing that camp was coming to an end. I wish to thank you with all my heart, we will return for sure. They have made friends, learned things and, above all, have enjoyed each day of this experience. I am very happy to have been able to give them this month spent with you, which they no doubt deserved and needed. You do an excellent job and I hope we will meet again soon. Many thanks for taking such good care of them!

In the first place I would like to thank you for what you have done for our children!! They’ve had a really great time. They’ve grown, shared their feelings and spoken about them; they’ve also argued and discovered feelings they didn’t know they had, as well as having fun and getting tired. Thanks to an environment surrounded by nature, farm animals, the pool… they have been able to wake from this nightmare that we are still going through. We have nothing but gratitude. Our family will return!!! And we will spread the word that La Granja Escuela is the best, unique and unbeatable. Also our congratulations to Mar, Luna (and Buba) and all the monitors and staff that have taken care of our children, giving them support and help; you’re the best, you carry them in your Heart. One of the best moments in my life when they told me I could attend La Granja this summer! I thought it would not be possible due to the present situation, but when they said I could I was thrilled! This is the best summer camp in the world, because they deal with what is inside each one of us, not outside! Here I feel safe to express my emotions , to be myself.  I know I can tell you and Kathy everything and you always listen, things I wouldn’t even tell my school teacher. I’m very happy!

Laia has been spending the month of July here for the past 3 years and, although she was only 4 the first time she came and it was difficult for me because she was alone, didn’t know anyone and she was very small, the truth is she has always had a great time; every year when it is over, or even before, she says she wants to return… in one word, here with you she is HAPPY.

Good morning, I am Max Aymà’s (9 years old) mother; he spent the last week of july at La Granja. I wish to congratulate the team for the summer camp of 2020. It was the first time Max had been alone so many days, he had a great time and was very happy when he returned home.

You can be assured that he grew, especially and more importantly, inside. Thank you all and keep up the good work!

Hello everyone, the Granja has ended and as usual it has been fantastic for the kids; they’ve had a great time and have made very special memories. Once again you have helped working parents to feel their children are in good hands and that they can rest assured. The kids enjoy a camp with a very professional outlook that is truly focused on them, and this is very important.

Hello everyone and congratulations for the experiences you have provided us with. It was a fantastic party, the songs and dancing, the children’s faces, the monitors, the asssistants… a clear expression of joy, peace, mutual understanding and wellbeing living together and sharing. In spite of everything we say, there are many things that cannot be expressed which we will never be able to tell you, although you may probably perceive them somehow. Hello Cristina. My daughters Ainhoa and Eva, have spent a few days at La Granja. Thank you!!!!, Thankyou for the love you have given these days, thankyou for the self-esteem, thank you for the shared responsibility… the world would be a better place with a Granja in every home. It has been a pleasure for them and a great experience.

Thank you for your project. Thank you for making it credible, because your work is coherent, because your effort has been acknowledged by all of us, the parents. Thank you for making the essence of La Granja enter our homes for a few days; these days have flown by and Ariadna’s experience with you has been very important. The best is the emotional focus on everything you do. Thank you for your warm attitude, your patient response to my mails filled with concern, as if I was the only mother in the world, and the only daughter: Incredible!!

Hello! I am Yaiza’s mother and it is difficult to express what I feel… your mails have given us peace and serenity…and what to say about the photos…we never had enough…I don’t need to ask my daughter to know that she had a wonderful experience… The story made us come closer and understand things that even made us weep, at least I know I did… Thanking you in advance and letting you know that next year we will return if we can…By the way, do you have magical camps for parents? I think we would profit very much if you did!! See you on Saturday!!!

Mariona has ended her stay at la Granja which has flown by, like everything that gives us joy!! She has loved camp this summer… she’s made friends, built log cabins in the forest, surrounded by nature and in direct contact with the farm animals. She is very fussy about what she likes, and I think she has found it. It fills us with joy to see her so happy and relaxed!. You do a GREAT JOB, keep it up!!

Great experience!! Martina only has good things to say… she loved it, she met many new children, the animals are great (especially the baby goat that she named Minituri!!!), the horses are incredible, and also that the food is more than fantastic. Many thanks for the work that you do, a big hug and see you next year!!!

You’re fantastic!! We’ve watched the video over and over… we love it!! It reminds me of a famous beer commercial (Estrella Damm), filmed in a magical retreat of our country, with children full of dreams that will someday come true!!  I’d like to be a child again to be able to come to your summer camp!!

Today we finished reading the story, and once again I must congratulate you for writing a story that makes us reflect on life. While I was reading the tale of “flying high” with Adrià , I felt intensely happy when he looked up and said with a serious face: …mom, you don’t clear the path of stones ahead of me, you don’t prepare the path for me, you’re teaching me for the path that I will forge….. Wooowww, it made me feel so good and strong. Our dreams allow our children to create their own dreams as long as we, as parents, are able to continue learning to prepare them for the path of life.

I felt deeply moved when reading the dreams of other parents…ultimately we all have the same dreams… reading this you remember that you also have dreams that have been left behind in some corner due to the circumstances of life. Dreams must never be forgotten, we should stand by them and not loose the magic they provide…and dream so that our children may also dream. Thank you.

This afternoon I asked my son what his dream was, and he hugged me very tight, started to cry and said: What I want is to always be with you, I don’t want you to die ever! I told him this is impossible, that we all die some day. “When I grow up, I’ll think of when I was a child and this way I will never forget you”.

As I told you yesterday: CONGRATULATIONS for the work you do.  Again this year, the summer camp was very moving and fantastic. The children’s faces, the attitude of the monitors, assistants, staff …It is very much appreciated and you can be proud. You all transmit excitement, courage, joy, passion…Everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, all those involved…

I feel the need to send this mail to let you know how happy I am. It has been the best camp my boy has attended. Congratulate each and every one of you for making this marvellous, genuine and unforgettable.

In the first place, I would like to CONGRATULATE everyone at La Granja, including the cow, the goats and the horses. I love the work you do, my children have been attending for three years and you never cease to surprise me; I am in love with La Granja and the work you do!! Today my daughter was crying when she left, and at 12pm she was still crying…I didn’t know how to comfort her and ended up crying with her…this is the type of emotion that La Granja provides…See you next year!!!

I want to share with you these discoveries about life made by Martí which have a touch of magic. The magic of the surroundings, the animals, the children…. But especially the people who believe in him and their GENEROSITY, who give him the chance to expand his world and fill me with HOPE.

This year’s camp has suited Enol wonderfully, he has returned home more mature, as if he had grown not in height, but in “inner harmony“, something that he also needed very much… He seems to be more self-sufficient, kinder, more thoughtful and affectionate with us. As parents, we will also try to cherish the experiences and things learned these days, so they will help us be happier and learn how to enjoy more being parents. A big hug.

I picked him up from camp 3 hours ago and I can already feel the happiness that glows in his heart. For the past 4 years every time I pick Alex up he seems more pure, more genuine. You’re like a balm for his soul. Thank you for everything: the e mails, the work, the monitors, the cooks, Kike, the animals, the treatment received… and especially for putting the theory into practice in the form of an emotional summer camp. Thank you Cristina. The world needs La Granja very much!

I would like to express my gratitude for the work you do with our children every day. The world needs many “granjas”… and sometimes, even a piece of granja at home. We’ll see you next year, only 364 days to go…in the meantime, we will continue to train our wings, continue to train our children for the road ahead and continue to dream.

We are delighted and satisfied with our daughter’s summer camp spent at LA GRANJA. Her experience with you has been enriching and Judit returned home feeling enthusiastic!!! It has helped her to build a part of her personality, both emotionally and functionally, with new friends, different situations and alternative values to feed her self-esteem. MANY THANKS TO THE ENTIRE TEAM AT LA GRANJA FOR THEIR WORK IN TRYING TO HELP OUR CHILDREN BECOME BETTER PEOPLE. A big hug.

I would only like to say thank you, thank you for the work you do. My three children come to La Granja every day. And they do so with such joy!!!! They get up in the morning with no effort and all the way from Calella to Santa Maria de Palautordera they say things that leave us with our mouths wide open. For example: “Mom all I want is to be happy” Marc who is 7 years old. Or “Dad you’re sitting on rage and that’s not good” Jan who is 4 years old. Oh my God! And we’ve only just begun! It’s great!!!

I’m Inés and Joan’s mom. Today they finished summer camp after 4 weeks, and they were both very angry because they wanted to go back one more week!!! They didn’t care that their mother, in other words me, is on vacation and we can spend a few days together. The truth is that it fills me with joy and satisfaction to see them so happy and motivated, and how excited they are every morning when they get up to go to La Granja. I cannot express in words how satisfied I feel inside, although I’m sure you understand me. What you give the children is fantastic and so enriching and exciting for them. Joan, who is younger, tells me that he doesn’t want to go to school, he’d rather always go to La Granja, wish he could!!! What you teach here is a gift, and my children have been able to appreciate it. Thank you very much and we will see you next summer for sure!!!

I am Joel’s mother. Just to let you know that he has returned from camp full of joy, he seems to have changed and I think your emotional work has affected him. He explains about emotions to everyone around him, his friends and even the mothers of his friends have heard his explanations of what you do, he is very excited about it. Yesterday there was a discussion at home with his sister and instead of starting an argument he went to think about it… even his language has changed!!! He tells me that I have to give him more freedom (and he’s right). I think he is more self-assured and he says that those who do not love him simply don’t deserve him… and he says so outright… it has been a very, very positive experience for all and I believe JOEL is very interested and thrilled; the effect on him is clear. You do a great job, my contratulations and I will recommend you to all my friends!!! It’s too bad I didn’t know you sooner!!!!! We will come to do a family activity on a Saturday some time for sure. Have a great summer.

I want to congratulate you for the work you do with the children and say that we are thrilled with the experience. My daughter has had problems in school and it was a little hard for her to trust people who were new, but with Iván it was very easy. She has had a great time with her new friends, has learned to respect how different we all are and tolerate others better, and she has felt loved and accepted. Everything in general has contributed to raising her self-esteem, and she is very happy. It’s the first time she has asked us to prolong her stay at a summer camp, and return the following year!!!

I wish to thank you because this is the first year that my two children, who are 3 and 6 years old, have been to camp and it has been spectacular for them. I was slightly scared about this summer at first because it’s the first one that I will not spend 100% of the time with them, and I felt bad not being able to give them a summer spent at home with me. But I must say I’m very happy and believe that I have provided them with the best possible option. A pile of experiences, emotions, games, fun…Thank you, because I had never received so many hugs from my daughter as I do now after attending La Granja. Thank you for making her feel so genuine, so full of joy and so important. And thank you for taking away my fear of the bus when I called to register before the camp began.

It was Wednesday evening at bedtime when he was already in bed and I had read him a story, when he said:  – Mom, you know what?… at La Granja, I’m not cold anymore. Cold at La Granja, Gael? How can you be cold at La Granja if it’s summer? Nooo mom, cold in my heart!  And all I could do was hug and kiss him until he asked me to stop, “you’re going to break my shell”. I thought it wasn’t worth trying to discover why he felt cold in his heart, because the really important thing is to make the most of the warmth that you give him, that you give us all. And enjoy one more summer of having a warm heart. Thanks to all of you!
